Yamaha FGX800C Folk Acoustic Guitar, Naural
The Yamaha FGX800C is an entry-level model with scalloped bracing, resulting in a fuller, warmer and louder sound than most other electro-acoustics at this price point. The cutaway body has a solid spruce top and nato back and sides, while the nato neck has a rosewood fingerboard.
Yamaha have extended their range of guitars by making the FG/FS series available in electro-acoustic alternatives.
These guitars feature very similar specs as the fully acoustic models but the electro acoustics feature a very handy cutaway. The FG models are supplied as dreadnought or traditional western body shape, where as the FS range features a smaller and thinner body that is perfect for young players to get to grips with guitar, however it will stand up just as well for any other player.
The electronics featured within the guitars are an updated under-saddle SRT-Piezo pick-up alongside the System66 analogue pre-amp (the main pickup in the APX range). Combined, these have been updated to offer an improved overall sound quality.
Controls include: 3-Band EQ, an adjustable mid range frequency control, precise chromatic tuner and main volume control.
